July is here (whee?)

Thu Jul 2, 2009, 4:04 PM
Anyways. I couldn't think of a good title for this entry besides the obvious.

I am going to go on about unrelated topics:

Does anyone miss Navi and all the fairy stuff from the n64? Midna is good, but I think I prefer the fairies over her. Maybe I want both, but that's too good to be true. The next zelda game is going to be something lame like Midna's sister.

Kodocha is an amazing anime.

School Rumble still makes me laugh at the same things I have watched and read several times, but it makes me angry at the manga ending and the school rumble z tease they had for around 10 chapters.

I am missing a... hard-drive with a large amount of .fla's on there I haven't uploaded to deviantart. Seriously, I have uploaded only like 10% of the stuff I have made, and I have made a bunch of cool stuff. The hard-drive will be recovered soon though

They cancled LIFE on NBC, and LIFE ON MARS on the other channel. I don't know what will happen to Heroes. Stupid reality shows like dancing with the stars, american idol, ect are taking over! >:o

Also, on TV, they added an Arthur-legend show called Merlin. I was pretty excited for it, because I recently read some steven lawhead books (the pendragon cycle) which kicked ass, but I was a little dissipointed how the storyline worked out in relation to the books I am reading (merlin and arthur are the same age) but I got used to it and its been pretty cool. the dragon in the series surpasses the definition of LAME, though. It looks terrible and the the voice actor matches the terribleness.

Recently watched a movie called Rocket Science, stuttering debate guy, this was a good movie, pretty funny.

Been playing teh Battle Hymn of the Republic on guitar, which is fun to play.

People have been lighting off some fire crackers sometimes, I have been using some poppers, yaaay.

I get my AP EUROPEAN HISTORY EXAM results sometime this month. I probably did okay... I will find out. <_<

Fruits Basket: A great anime, an amazing manga, seriously, read it.
Full moon wo sagashite: the anime and manga are both pretty different, so I wouldn't reccommend one over the other because of the way the stories go. overall its good stuff.
School Rumble: Most funny anime I have ever watched
Kodocha: mentioned this above. currently watching, good old anime.
Azumanga Daioh: good anime and manga
Karin: good

Penquins are champs YEAH! happy for that. rooted for the red wings last year, rooted for the pens this year, happy both times :D

I want... donuts. :P

new x-men movie was kick-ass, I should watch the old movies.

The Caesars is a good band, I need to pick up one of their albums.

We Are Scientists (Good band) I noticed has a pretty good and hilarious website. check out the advice and review pages.

go to tofulator and watch the meat loaf and air supply literal versions, they are hilarious. that new site has some good gems.

Well... can't think of anything more...

I lied:

Bruno came on Conan O'Brien one night and creeped the hell out of me.

Poptarts are pale in comparison to donuts!

Crystal Ball by Keane is a great song and music video. Pandora does a good job of showing me good bands

Superbad is a good comedy, watch it if you haven't yet.

Hey! I know it has been awhile for me to be active on deviantart. Yes, I am still alive and I am still coding, stronger then ever. I injured my knees and was unable to play my favorite sport (still injured right now) so I was really bummed over the last half of year, and I have been looking down other avenues, but still coding in flash (but not posting). I transformed the slopedp latformer engine into a clean fighting game (Well sorta), and I have started on a new project

I was hoping to post a prototype of my project today, but I think I will wait till it gets a bit better. So instead of posting it, I am posting this journal entry. In this new game I created a more intricate inventory system (Still working out the bugs) and a equipping system, and a very cool music player, and some dialogue scenes as well. It looks very professional and well done so far, just some debugging to do. I am going to combine a classic rpg (like early Final Fantasy games) with the sloped platformer fighting type games (which would be the battle part of the classic rpg) to create a kick ass game. Think of mardek rpg, but not turn-based, and much more cooler, and not 8-bit really.

In my free time I delved into the realm of music, picked up a few instruments (Recorder, piano, guitar) and learned how to read, write, play music, so I plan on filling my music player with songs I compose and play to make the game music more fitting and unique. I know this is extremely ambitious, but it is also pretty fun.

Sorry I have nothing to submit! Thank you to everybody who have watched and favorited things lately too, that really pushes me forward.

Canon game and Kongregate

Wed Apr 30, 2008, 2:07 PM
Canon Game
I have created a canon game thanks to a tutorial undeadAnimations gave me.
It is somewhat fun, but very short. The physics are nice, and I will transfer it over to the arrow game sometime.

KONGREGATE
I have posted one game on Kongregate so far. Kongregate is an online gaming website, and by far, the best one I have used. It is still in beta phase, but still nearly full functional (highscores are disabled right now). I will be posting quality games I make on there.

Cecil is the name I use on Kongregate, look up my game "The Coin Collector". Oh, and rate it a.... well.... a 5/5 :D
I appreciate it if you go check it out. Kongregate.com

Arrow Game

Sat Apr 5, 2008, 5:39 PM
Hello and welcome to my newest journal entry.

I waste your time today to present my new arrow game. :D

Hopefully you like it somewhat. I added a nice sound loop to it as well. I always wanted to try making one of those type of games. I couldn't figure out the code which would allow rotation to dictate where the arrow would fly. So now when you use the arrow keys to rotate it, it does nothing. :P

comment and w/e :)

spring break is almost over :(

Fri Mar 21, 2008, 8:56 PM
Spring Break is over....
It is a cruel world, my fun shall soon be limited to the time after school, and weekends... oh the misery, at least I get to learn some stuff. I sometimes analyze the stuff I am learning and find 15% of the stuff is actually useful or interesting.

Shooter game
Heh heh, I always wanted to make a shooter game, so I tried it, and it went okay. If you noticed, all of my games follow the same pattern. They are not finished xD.

I hate finishing games, it gets so boring designing levels, and evuantlly it feels like its going to suck.... lol...

Oh well, I decided to GIVE UP ON THE RPG GAME!!!! I realized I would have to have no life, become fat, and give up sports if I wanted to finish up that game >>. Who cares, at least I proved that laziness does not fail.

Rock out everyone! lol.....
